One possible function that you can use in Excel to remove text strings in the middle of a sentence is the REPLACE function. The REPLACE function allows you to specify the position and length of the text that you want to replace with another text. For example, if you have a cell that contains “Hello, my name is John Smith”, and you want to remove “my name is “, you can use the formula =REPLACE(A1,8,10,””). This will return “Hello, John Smith” as the result. You can also use cell references instead of hard-coded values for the arguments of the REPLACE function. Microsoft Excel tutorial.
