One of the ways to create a link that opens an email client is to use the hyperlink function with mailto. The mailto protocol allows you to specify the recipient, subject, and body of the email in the URL of the link. For example, if you want to create a link that opens an email to hello@world.com with the subject “Greetings” and the body “Hello, world!”, you can use the Hyperlink function.
Using the hyperlink function with mailto is a convenient way to create email links on your website or document, but it has some limitations. For example, it depends on the user’s default email client, which may not be configured or preferred. It also exposes the email addresses to spammers who can scrape them from the web. Therefore, you should use this method with caution and consider alternative ways to provide contact information, such as using a contact form or an online chat
