This is a Microsoft Project tutorial covering task types. Do you understand task types and how they work? There are three task types in Microsoft Project, Fixed units (default), Fixed Duration and Fixed Work. Fixed Units and Fixed Duration tasks have an option to use the effort driven feature. The fixed work task type has effort driven set by default. The tutor demonstrates what happens why you add resources to each task type. The Fixed Unit only reacts when effort driven is activated. The duration of the task reduces when additional resources are added. The Fixed Duration task type reacts when the effort driven is activated. The effort per resource reduces as additional resources are added. The Fixed Work task reduces the duration if additional resources are added. The tutor covers how to split the screen to see the impact of the effort driven tasks and set a work contour. Do you understand task types and how they work in Microsoft Project.
