Don’t waste time typing use OneNote superb feature, DICTATE. Add Outlook meeting details directly into OneNote to keep on top of diary appointments.
OneNote offers a suite of features to enhance note-taking, including Dictate, Transcribe, and Meeting Details. Dictate allows users to convert speech into text using a microphone and a reliable internet connection, making it a quick method to create drafts or capture notes. To use Dictate, go to the Home tab in OneNote and select the Dictate button. Once the feature is activated, start speaking, and your words will appear on the page. You can also use voice commands to add punctuation or navigate the page.
Transcribe, on the other hand, is designed to convert speech from recorded audio or live conversations into text. To use Transcribe, open OneNote, go to the Home tab, and select the Transcribe option. You can then upload an audio file or start a live recording. Once the transcription is complete, you can insert the text into your notes, with options to include speaker labels and timestamps.
Meeting Details is a feature that integrates OneNote with Outlook, allowing you to insert details from Outlook meetings directly into your OneNote notes. This can include information such as the date, location, agenda, and attendees. To add Meeting Details, navigate to the Home tab in OneNote, click on Meeting Details, and choose the relevant meeting. The details will be inserted into a new page in OneNote, where you can freely edit or add to the information.
These features streamline the process of capturing and organising information, making it easier to review and collaborate on notes. Whether you’re in a lecture, conducting an interview, or attending a meeting, OneNote’s tools can help ensure you don’t miss important details. Remember to check for any updates or additional language support that may enhance these features further. Discover OneNote’s secrets, meeting details and DICTATE 2024. OneNote tutorial.
