The tutor starts off by creating a small Word table and places a second Word table around it to act as a numbering table. The tutorial uses the Sum above feature from the Layout tab to add up a column of figures. The tutor mentions that changes are not automatically updated but will update if the F9 function key is used. In the second part of the video the tutor demonstrates how to use an IF function in a Word table. The IF function has three basic parts, a test, what to do if that test is true and what to do if that test is false. the tutor uses an IF statement to add a 10% bonus if sales are over £30,000. The final part of the video covers how to add up the sales figures and bonus figures with the Sum Left function. Calculations in Word tables.
