This is a Microsoft Visio tutorial on how to use Text Boxes. Text boxes are useful for adding text to a Visio drawing that is not part of a shape or connector. You can use text boxes to label diagrams, provide instructions, or create captions. To create a text box in Visio, follow these steps:

1. On the Home tab, in the Tools group, click Text.
2. Click anywhere on the page to create a text box, or click and drag to make the text box the size that you want.
3. Type your text. You can format the text using the commands on the Home tab, in the Font group or the Paragraph group.
4. Click a blank area on the page or press ESC to finish.

You can also edit, move, or rotate text boxes using the Pointer Tool or the Text Block Tool. To edit the text, double-click the text box and make your changes. To move the text box, click and drag it to a new location. To rotate the text box, drag the rotation handle at the top of the text box.
