Project Training


Project training is a two day course providing some great tips and techniques for using Project. Day one covers the basic techniques such as building a task list, linking tasks, task dependencies and task types with day two identifying ways to streamline and customise Project so that users can create their own tables populated by their own customised columns and generate reports to display their data in a user friendly way.

Part One

Learn about the different views Tables and Forms
Learn how to create a Task List, following a naming and structure pattern.
Learn how to format a Gantt chart to add task names.
Learn how to change the Timescale and Working Time

Part Two

Learn about the Filter and Group features
Learn how to Link tasks using the four main links FS (Finish to Start), SS (Start to Start), FF (Finish to Finish) and SF(Start to Finish)
Learn how to create Lead and Lag time between tasks and how to split tasks.
Learn how to create a resource lists and edit details such as availability, work time and holidays.
Learn how to allocate resources and understand the different Task types.
Learn how to resolve over allocation issues with resource levelling, overtime allocation and delayed assignments.
Learn how to save a Baseline and update tasks to actual.

Part Three

Learn how to run reports based on the Baseline and filter those report by date.
Learn how to export data in to Microsoft Excel.
