We provide a
customised training solution designed to help delegates
learn and apply their new skills in the work environment.
Email support means that there is help at the end of an
email. Microsoft Excel and Access courses are our most
popular Microsoft Office products with other 40% of all
courses being one or the other. Twelve years of
training, visiting many companies and learning best practice
around the country means that all the examples used are
business related and cover most the common aspects of the
programmes.
Microsoft Excel
starts with the basic layout and functionality of the
programme followed by simple sums, functions and charts.
Intermediate users can expect to use Excel as a database and
discover the management tools available such as Goal Seek,
Scenarios and Data Tables. Creating workbook models
and linking sheets is an integral part of using Microsoft
Excel, users will be able to create and save templates
utilising this technique. Advanced users get down to
the uses of more complicated functions and how to nest
multiple functions. Basic automation helps users
navigate around a workbook.
Microsoft Access starts with a simple single
table database. Users will understand how each object
works within Microsoft Access. The first session
covers some of the core concepts followed by basic tables,
queries, forms and reports. The second session
involves using Access as a relational database and covers
creating relationships, calculation in queries, linked forms
and reports. The advanced session looks at macros to
automate your database and more detailed reports.
Users will learn how to customise a database and attach
events to object properties.
Microsoft Project is a two day course
providing some great tips and techniques for using Project.
Day one covers the basic techniques such as building a task
list, linking tasks, task dependencies and task types with
day two identifying ways to streamline and customise Project
so that users can create their own tables populated by their
own customised columns and generate reports to display their
data in a user friendly way.
Microsoft Word starts with basic word
processing techniques such as page layout, text formatting,
paragraph formatting and print preview. The second
session builds on the first and helps users understand some
of Microsoft Word's automated features, such as table of
contents and Index references. Users will have a good
understanding of mail merge and Word tables. The
advanced session looks at automating Microsoft Word by using
macros and templates.
Microsoft PowerPoint starts with a basic
understanding of the layouts used in the programme followed
by basic PowerPoint tools. Users will insert charts,
pictures, sound and video. The basic session ensures
each user understands slide transition and slide build
effects. The PowerPoint course moves quickly on to produce
hyperlinks and automated index references and shows users
how to get the best out of slide master view.
Microsoft Visio is a one session course
dealing with the main template stencils. Delegates
will use the basic shapes and connectors to understand how
Visio drawings work, this is followed by a series of stencil
examples covering basic building plans, organisation charts,
flow charts, project plans and much more.
Microsoft Publisher is also a one day session
covering several template options. Users will use a
blank document to learn how all the elements shown in the
templates work together.
Time Management covers all basic time
management techniques. Users will experience a blended
training session catering for most needs. The course
is designed to highlight time management issues, not solve
organisational problems. Delegates can pick and choose
the techniques best suited to their own working environment.
Presentation Skills covers techniques on
presenting and tools to use to help in presentations.
Delegates will deliver two videoed sessions to help identify
presentation issues. |
